Regional Maritime University benefits from ADK's corporate social responsibility
“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” —Malcolm X
Giving back to institutions that support and train younger generations to achieve success in life is a core value ADK shares and a privilege it embraces under the leadership of Ing Dr. Michael Krakue.
As part of celebrating 50 years of being in business and its successes, ADK stretched the boundaries of its Corporate Social Responsibility Project dubbed “Gifts of Hope” to reach the shores of the Regional Maritime University. The Gift of Hope project was launched in 2015 to assist needy and underprivileged children in society.
On the 14th of March 2023, ADK visited the Regional Maritime University and donated a cheque in the amount of GH ¢50,000 to the institution. The gesture was to help the institution surmount some infrastructural challenges it has been grappling with for some time now.
The presentation was made by Noel Adu-Gyamfi (Civil Engineer) and supported by Marklina Aba Dadzie (Human Resources Manager) and Daniel Y. Burgesson (Asst. Quantity Surveyor) to Dr. Jethro W. Brooks (Ag. Vice Chancellor) and Dr. Daniel Njumo Atehnjia (Provost) of the Regional Maritime University.
The Management expressed their profound gratitude to ADK and presented the company with the school’s plague and paraphernalia to show their appreciation.
